Warning: No work has been done on this website for many months. These days your webmaster is concentrating all his energies on MedicalQuestionsandAnswers.net

"Those stories of brumbies from the bush winning the Melbourne Cup are made in Hollywood. If you want to find horses that might win the Melbourne Cup, you must study their track records."

What are people and organisations that you are thinking of dealing with (or, in the case of politicians you are thinking of voting for) really like?
There are lots of situations in which this can be important for you to know.
This website is almost entirely based on the idea that the way in which people and organisations respond to letters emailed to them provides pretty useful clues as to what they are really like to deal with.
One could argue as to how useful these clues might be, but we think one thing is certain - there are some people and organisations you shouldn't under any circumstances deal with, and some politicians you shouldn't under any circumstances vote for, just on the basis of how they respond, or don't respond, to emails.
So most of our time is spent sending emails and letting you our visitors know how we got on.
In fact there are hardly any parts of our website which are not about this.
In doing this, we are doing nothing that you couldn't do for yourself - we are just hoping to save you some time by doing some "homework" for you.
In taking this approach, we will probably make a lot of enemies in "high places". We just hope this will be compensated for by the number of friends we make in "low places".

Note: We only launched this website in September 2007 - see our progress with pageviews.
It is designed to gradually take over from our other website CustomGuides.com.au

People, Organisations and Topics on our website

No matter how far or fast CustomGuides.net may progress, it is always going to cover only an extremely small proportion of the people, organisations and topics, that it could cover. (This is so even of the great Wikipedia!) But to check if what you're interested in is covered only takes a few seconds. Click here

22 May 2008: Jetstar takes bookings, (and money, of course,) for a planeload of people to travel from Melbourne to Sydney. But when the passengers turn up, they are told "there is no plane to take you to Sydney". Nothing that Jetstar does surprises us any more. Click here

11 Apr 2008: People who can do work for you on your PC/Mac remotely. Click here

1 Apr 2008: The pathetic notice that appears on the website of the NSW Medical Board regarding Graeme Reeves, (at least it did today.) In this matter the "horse has bolted", guys! Time to turn your attention to the other Graeme Reeves that are out there doing damage to the people of New South Wales even as we write. Click here

29 Mar 2008: A small but significant matter which shows again how completely and utterly hopeless the Carr/Iemma government is. Click here

28 Mar 2008: A quite incredible story in relation to a NSW solicitor, Henry Grech! Click here

26 Mar 2008: We get what we think is the strangest email reply from Fred Nile??? - and only 5 months 17 days after we sent him our email. What do you think? We sent him a reply, and unless he sends us a good response to what we have written, he will have come over as a very strange person indeed. Click here

17 Mar 2008: Breaking news! (Ha! Ha!) We get a "snail mail" letter from Eric Roozendaal's office telling us that there IS an email address, (as well as a hot line,) you can use to "dob in" those who appear to be abusing the NSW Mobility Parking Scheme - and only four months and a number of days after we sent an email asking! Here it is - customer_service_centre@rta.nsw.gov.au. Click here

If you have travelled with Jetstar, and they have lost your luggage, don't expect them to be the slightest bit interested or concerned - although more recently, we have made some progress. Click here

Over 3 months now we have been having dealings with a NSW legal firm , Caldwell Martin Cox. The matters involved are yet to run their full course, but so far there has been nothing to indicate that they are good people to deal with. Yet to be written up.
